Exploring MegaAssemblies in UE5 Early Access

July 16, 2021
Since the release of Unreal Engine 5 Early Access in late May, we’ve been hosting a series of in-depth presentations relating to the key features on Inside Unreal — our official weekly livestream, which includes a recap of UE5's new animation features, such as Motion Warping and Full-Body IK.

Most recently, as we continue to remove barriers for artists crafting their worlds, we explored MegaAssemblies in the Valley of The Ancient sample project. Epic’s Technical Artist and Evangelist Arran Langmead was joined by Senior Technical Product Designer Chance Ivey and Product Specialist Victor Brodin as they discussed what MegaAssemblies are, why they’re important, and how to use them.

Have you missed our previous livestreams? No problem, you can check them out via the links below to get all caught up on Unreal Engine 5 Early Access. We also invite you to jump into the forums for further discussion and join us on our Twitch or YouTube channels for future episodes in this livestream series as we cover additional key features including MetaSounds and Game Feature Plugins.
